Rhythm

The Viennese waltz is a genre of ballroom dance. At least four different meanings of the term are recognized. In the earliest historical sense, the name refers to several early versions of the waltz that were danced in ballrooms in the late 18th century, particularly in Vienna, Austria. These early forms eventually developed into the fast, rotating dance style that is known today as the Viennese waltz.
